That’s the understatement of the year for our company. Last week was crazy. Loony.
Amazing.
First, on Tuesday September 25 we announced a partnership with the independent UK charity Shell Foundation. Working with our technology partner, Colorado State University’s Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory, we have engaged in a five-year project to design, develop and disseminate 10 million clean cookstoves to some of the world’s poorest people. This project will have a real impact on the global problem of Indoor Air Pollution and we couldn’t be more excited. Click here to read the official press release. The team left for India this week to start work right away.
Next, on Thursday September 26, we were lucky enough to be able to announce another huge project funded by the Lemelson Foundation. This project focuses on our two-stroke retrofit project and represents a significant expansion of our work in the Philippines. Over the next two years we are tasked with retrofitting 1500 bikes, the entire in-city tricycle-taxi fleet in the city of Vigan. Last but certainly not least, on Tuesday September 25, we celebrated the official launch of our new website, our new logo, our new messaging, and our online donation system… What do you think? As you can tell on some of our pages, we are still very much a work in progress. Recent additions include our photo and video gallery, our core donation page, and updates to our project team page. In the next two weeks we anticipate having our carbon-offset calculator up and running and other great features!
We are interested in ideas on how to make the website work better for you. We want you to be able to access the information you want as easily and effectively as possible.
