Sales & Distribution
Through its engineering, high-volume centralized manufacturing, global supply chain management, market research, and sales channel network development, Envirofit is proving its expertise in successfully selling technology products to customers in developing world markets. Envirofit is positioning itself as a uniquely qualified company to successfully expand into new global markets in Latin America, Africa and SE Asia.
Envirofit stoves have also been introduced in over a dozen other countries, such as Ghana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Bolivia, Honduras, Peru, Brazil, and Philippines. Envirofit is interested in partnering with international groups to bring the Envirofit stove line to new markets, thus making a greater reduction in global IAP deaths. Representatives from over 40 countries have inquired about Envirofit cookstoves to date. Working with global partners, Envirofit also plans on leveraging our existing sales channel to introduce other technologies (i.e. solar products, water purifiers) to our customers.
Envirofit utilizes initial funding to support product development and early stage product commercialization. Profits from product sales are reinvested to expand the Envirofit product line and move into new markets. In-country operations are projected to break-even within 3 years of operations and the international cookstoves business is projecting economic self-sustainability within 5 years.
India Sales and Distribution
To date Envirofit has sold over 60,000 stoves through its distributor/dealers and NGO/self-help group sales channels in the four southernmost states of India. In 2009, Envirofit aims to sell over 200,000 cookstoves in India.
Members of the Envirofit channel network realize significant business growth while contributing to the improved health and welfare of people in their communities.
Envirofit cookstoves are currently available in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh. The cookstoves will be introduced in other states across the country in a phased manner. They are aesthetically designed with high-quality materials and are available with single pot and multi-pot cooking options. Certified under the most stringent environmental testing conditions in the USA, the cookstoves are currently undergoing BIS certification.
Envirofit cookstoves are mainly sold through multi-tier distribution strategy. The current channel network in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala includes dealers, distributors, village entrepreneurs as well as not for profit organizations like the Tamil Nadu Foundation, Samuha, Zero Mass Foundation and Little World.
Envirofit has over 500 channel partners throughout southern India with roughly 1500 outlets planned by the end of 2009.
Significant business opportunities exist for local entrepreneurs, distributors, and retailers as Envirofit plans to increase its footprint across India in 2010.
