Envirofit uses high volume centralized manufacturing to ensure consistent quality control, economies of scale, and capacity to meet global demand. Centralized manufacturing and strategic product development provide cost-savings that allow Envirofit to provide strong margins throughout our sales channels. This gives the Envirofit sales channels market-driven incentives to sell through Envirofit products. Envirofit’s strategy directly supports job creation and support of local entrepreneurs through the growth of our sales and distribution channel partners. Thus, rather than just supporting a local manufacturer, Envirofit spreads income generation over a wide network, creating a distribution model that is sustainable over the long term and scalable.

Also, Envirofit will look at in-country manufacturing in knock-down kits or full production as a country’s volume and cost savings dictate. In-country manufacturers will be qualified to meet the same rigorous standards for quality control and ability to handle large volumes as our centralized manufacturers. Based upon Envirofit’s overwhelming success in the Indian market we are currently analyzing the possibility of localizing manufacturing sources within India in 2009-2010.

Supply Chain

Envirofit International’s supply chain group combines best practices in procurement , planning and logistics to be among the leading supply chains in the clean energy industry. This group evaluates and qualifies the best suppliers in the world to design the highest quality, most cost effective, and most responsive supply chain to support Envirofit’s clean cookstove program. The supply chain function works to turn its vision statement into reality: Source, plan and deliver Envirofit products to their point of use to improve peoples’ lives.

Envirofit maintains on site quality control at the manufacturer’s location to ensure that the products meet the ongoing requirements of Envirofit for quality and performance. Every lot of material is evaluated prior to shipment and, upon arrival at its destination, is sampled and inspected to Envirofit standards.

Envirofit’s supply chain function works closely with its marketing and outbound supply chain partners to prepare timely sales forecasts and ensure that inventory is in place and available to support the market. Inventory is held in the local market and is available for quick delivery to sales partners. Envirofit uses a combination of air, sea, and land freight to optimize time to market, freight costs, and inventory costs while supporting sales. Envirofit is continually evaluating the supply chain to identify risks and remove them to provide a seamless, high capacity pipeline of products to market.
