Our Team

We are a team of engineers and entrepreneurs commercializing technologies that reduce pollution and promote energy efficiency at the base of the world's economic pyramid. Envirofit’s work is guided by a Board of Directors and implemented by staff in the US, India, China and the Philippines. We have over 70 full-time employees around the world and are currently expanding.

Envirofit International

Envirofit International focuses on R & D, product development, manufacturing, global supply chain, new market development, corporate brand-building, IAP awareness-raising, and fundraising.

Envirofit India

Envirofit India Private Ltd. was established in 2007 as the India headquarters of the global Envirofit organization. They are solely responsible for the running of daily operations in India, which focuses on market research, distribution and sales channel development, marketing and PR, and on-the-ground logistics and operations. Envirofit India was created as a hybrid for-profit company to provide the most efficient, cost-effective means to sell Envirofit cookstoves in the Indian market.

  • Ron Bills

    Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board


    Ron is a visionary leader with the fundamental idea of creating scalable and sustainable social enterprises at the base of the economic pyramid that are focused on energy & pollution reduction and heath & economic improvement. He believes it is a basic duty of free enterprise to deliver high quality, durable and aspirational products to emerging consumer markets at the lowest possible cost - while at the same time energizing local economies and developing local entrepreneurs. Actualization of this vision will provide the potential to significantly impact the world's deadliest health and energy related problems.

    Bills is actively speaking on these topics and working on a book about emerging consumer markets, the social responsibility surrounding this evolution and the necessary development of social entrepreneurs in the creation of economic improvement. Bills recently addressed audiences at World Bank's Clean Energy Week speaking on Household Energy Opportunities in conjunction with the organization's "Energy, Development and Climate Change" conference. Bills regularly engages with business and political leaders regarding advancements in the social enterprise space.

    Since 2004, Bills has led Envirofit by combining his business acumen from the consumer durables industry with visionary thinking in the area of social enterprise. Ron is a global leader in the field of technology development and social entrepreneurship with extensive, worldwide business and P&L experience across private, public, and start-up business environments. His ability to move cutting edge, industry-defining technology from the drawing board to the forefront of the global marketplace has garnered Envirofit a variety of accolades in the areas of product design and technology innovation.

    Prior to Envirofit, Bills was president and CEO of Segway and previously led several worldwide business units for Polaris Industries, Yamaha Motor Corporations and Bombardier. His career began as an engineer with Martin Marietta Aerospace.

  • Nathan Lorenz

    Vice-President of Engineering & Envirofit Co-Founder


    Mr. Lorenz ensures that product performance and quality assurance metrics are met in all facets of Envirofit programs.

    Mr. Lorenz received his B.S. and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. He has worked extensively in the area of clean engine technology; working on and overseeing all facets of engine development from design and testing to project management. This work has spanned engines ranging from 25cc to some of the largest natural gas compressor engines in the world. Mr. Lorenz is responsible for component engineering, performance, and overseeing technical activities at Envirofit. As such, Mr. Lorenz has extensive experience in field test studies, field-site calibration, data logging, performance evaluation, and emissions testing.

     

  • Tim Bauer

    Vice-President of Operations & Envirofit Co-Founder


    Mr. Bauer is responsible for overall day-to-day leadership and operations of Envirofit International. All project activities are reported / directed through Mr. Bauer.

    Mr. Bauer completed both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering at Colorado State University. He spent over 6 years working for the EECL focused on the development and validation of clean engine and alternative fuel technologies and as a technical project supervisor. His work with gasoline direct injection began in 2000, and in 2002 he led his team to develop and implement an award-winning product, resulting in an emissions event victory at the Clean Snowmobile Challenge. Mr. Bauer is responsible for all project management and operations activities, both domestically and abroad. Mr. Bauer has extensive experience in fundraising, international sourcing, cost analysis, partner and supplier management, in-country operations development and staff management, as well as marketing/public relations.

     

  • Alan Campbell

    Director of Supply Chain


    Mr. Campbell manages and controls the global and local supply chains for all product life cycle phases. He is responsible for the planning, procurement, and logistics functions. His responsibilities also include strategic sourcing, cost management, supplier and product quality, and assurance of supply.

    Mr. Campbell's professional experience includes more than 15 years managing supply chains in the high-tech electronics and biopharmaceutical industries. He has developed and led high performing teams to design and manage complex supply chains successfully, optimizing assets and costs while significantly reducing risk. He is professionally certified by the Association for Operations Management (CPIM and CSCP), Institute for Supply Management (C.P.M.), and International Supply Chain Education Alliance (CSCM). . Mr. Campbell is an officer and director of APICS Northern Colorado, and serves as an instructor to help supply chain professionals develop their skills. He earned an MBA from Arizona State University with a concentration in supply chain management.

     

  • Martha Kohlhagen

    Director of Sales & Marketing, India


    Martha leads the development and execution of India sales and marketing strategies in coordination with members across the Envirofit organization. Spending considerable time in-country with on-the-ground teams and in the rural communities of India, she works to ensure successful strategic and tactical market development. Her responsibilities include building a sustainable business while creating economic opportunities at the local level. Martha is also responsible for the development of product strategy specific to the market requirements and preferences of India.

    Ms. Kohlhagen received her B.A. from the University of Colorado-Boulder and her M.B.A. from the University of Denver. She has over 15 years experience working in large commercial organizations, as well as governmental and multi-lateral organizations, to develop and deliver products into numerous global markets. Ms. Kohlhagen's extensive experience includes work in the Middle East, India, Africa, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.

     

  • David Williams

    Director of Sales & Product Management, Asia


    David leads the development and execution of Asia sales and marketing strategies in coordination with members across the Envirofit organization. Mostly residing in Manila, Philippines, David spends a significant amount of time traveling throughout Asia exploring and assessing market expansion opportunities. His responsibilities include building sustainable businesses in key market areas of Asia needing the benefit of Envirofit low emissions products, while creating economic opportunities at the local level.

    Mr. Williams received his B.B.A. from Texas Technological University. He has been residing and working in Asia for more than thirteen years. Mr. Williams' extensive experience includes licensing, product development and startup-management of multiple businesses in several countries throughout Asia including negotiation of major supply, product and services contracts with governmental and multinational corporations.

     

  • Jaime Whitlock

    Marketing Communications Manager


    Jaime manages the global Envirofit global Marketing Communications teams, is the primary Envirofit PR and media liasion, manages the Envirofit websites and is involved in the strategic planning around Envirofit partnerships and fundraising efforts.

    Ms. Whitlock received her B.S. in Geological Sciences from Rutgers University, her M.S. in Geological Sciences from Pennsylvania State University, and a ABT second M.S. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University. She has worked in international science education, sustainable natural resource management, project management, professional design and marketing. Jaime brings brings marketing, design, social media experience and is always investigating innovative approaches to promoting the Envirofit global brand.
